Haute Route 2013 – From Chamonix to Zermatt

Matt Davis and Steep Ravine Trail

First training hike to prepare for end-August the Haute Route hike in Europe. We started off at the Pan-Toll Ranger’s stations hiking down to Stinson Beach via the Matt David Trail. Then we hike back to the parking lot via the Steep Ravine Trail.
Mount Tamalpais State Park Hike

This was the final preparatory hike for the summer Haute Route hike in Europe will fully loaded pack to match the expected weight to be carried in Europe.

Photography

I have been fortunate enough to explore the depths of equatorial oceans to the heights of temperate mountains. These travels have allowed me to create a lot of still and motion pictures for myself and others.

Technology

My passion for Technology dates back to my early school days. I started programming on the BBC Micro (running Rockwell 6502A). To this day, I love tinkering with technology.

Mountaineering

I was not always a mountaineer. As a matter of fact, I was scared of heights. It was perhaps the vertigo that made the mountains more intriguing and mysterious, attracting me to pursue mountaineering seriously.

Philanthropy

My passion for the outdoors introduced me to the National Parks Service. I wanted to utilize my spare time to contribute to the cause of the National Parks.
