Half Dome Hike – Yosemite National Park
Hike from Curry Village to base of the cable
This was the second preparatory hike for the summer Haute Route hike in Europe. We spent the night at Oakhurst and had to drive 1.5 hours into the park. We started late at around 9:00 am and took almost 11 hours (RT) to hike back to Curry Village. Unfortunately, we couldn’t secure the permit for the half dome, so had to turn around from the base of the cable. Nevertheless, it was a great hike.
